Moneymailme, a social money transfer app has launched video calls with a money transfer functionality
Adding to the company’s already successful mobile money transfer app, Moneymailme has rolled out their newest feature which can now be used by all users on iOS and Android. The release comes as video calling in messaging apps continues to increase in popularity. By 2020 it is predicted that 75% of the world’s mobile data traffic will be video.
When asked about his vision for the company back in mid-2016, Moneymailme CEO Mihai Ivascu explained his vision of an app for the global citizen.
“We like to call ourselves global citizens because we travel a lot and we are always in movement. We are dynamic and active, and this shapes our daily decisions and our daily lives. We are always moving from one city to another we are connecting with people from around the world. We are exchanging files, we are talking in real time, with a lot of contacts. But we also need to send them money or we need to receive money from them.”
Using Moneymailme is a simple process. After downloading the free app from the App Store or Google Play, users register with a phone number, email and password. Once registered, users can invite their friends from their contact list to chat, share images and much more. After building a network of friends, users are then able to deposit money, send or request cash or withdraw their funds. Moneymailme’s instant sending and receiving of e-money is currently available in over 130 countries.
Moneymailme was founded in 2015 by a team of software, security and banking experts. The application is one of many non-traditional financial service providers vying for the P2P mobile cash transfer market. The folks at Moneymailme will be hoping that the mix of video and money transfer will be a perfect match.
